INSPIRATION

Massive wood - in other words log - is one of the world's oldest and most widely used construction materials. It has been loved by people through the ages.

In Finland, logs have been used for thousands of years. Many of Finland's most notable artists have planned, built and lived in a log home in order to have a natural, inspiring environment to create art. Among the artists thus inspired are composer Jean Sibelius, sculptor Pekka Halonen, visual artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela and painter and Professor Eero Järnefelt.  Your Honka Fusion™ home may also be a source of modern inspiration for your family.

Interior design as you like it

Wood can be stained, painted or allowed to display its natural pattern. With these various surfaces, you’ll be able to create your own style for the interior of your Honka Fusion™ home. Interior walls can be panelled or boarded. And wood is easy to combine with other materials, particularly natural stone. You are free to design the interior as you like, because the sturdy walls will support almost anything.

Freedom of design

“The supporting frame of a Honka Fusion™ home is log, in other words massive wood. As a construction material it’s thousands of years old but the Honka Fusion™ solution is a 21st-century innovation. Massive wood home design is now easier than ever. Wood can now be easily combined with stone, steel and glass. The materials can be joined using light structures, free of the restrictions of traditional log construction. We have been doing extensive research and follow-up studies for almost a decade, with good results so we have great faith in our product. Our developments have been assisted by several research institutes and specialists."
